My name is Lynne and I am a formerly obese person.

At age five I entered kindergarten weighing 101 pounds. At graduation from high School I was 221 pounds; graduation from college, 246. There I more or less hovered until age 40.

Sick and tired of constantly being sick and tired I made a life decision to end the cycle of yo-yo dieting and become an example for my young daughter who was exhibiting signs of repeating my fate.

Make no mistake; this was not my first attempt. If a diet had a name I had tried it. I had ordered so many useless infomercial machines that the Home Shopping Network sent me Christmas gifts.

In retrospect I regret my decision to use nutrition only as my weight loss solution. Losing the first 70 pounds it was apparent that my once size 22 skin was not fitting comfortably on my new size 14 body. So I turned to resistance training. Two hours a day, five days a week for 6 months, I lost another 30 pounds.

Had I been smarter I would not have chosen magazines or the internet as my “personal trainer’ since both presented highly conflicting information. So I went back to school to learn how the body is supposed to move; more importantly how the body should NOT move. Armed with my new-found knowledge I went on to lose another 26 pounds, built visible lean muscle mass, changed my physique, and have maintained it for over 15 years.

As a personal trainer, nutritional advisor, sport trainer, and fitness therapist I have shared this knowledge with hundreds of clients who have gone on to enjoy their lifestyle change.

There are no quick fixes, no sprint to the finish line but there is a real-life solution, a better quality of life replete with energy and enjoyment and I can show you how.
